Le Chateau Du Lac - Hôtel

Tres bel endroit au coeur de magog. Pas de service sur place mais disponible a l'hotel en face. Grande chambre et sauna.

I saw this place and was astonished at how affordable it was compared to the other hotels in the city. We loved the quaint atmosphere interior of the building, and our room was spacious and very clean. The owners have done a great job preserving the history of the building. Beautiful chandeliers are everywhere throughout the building. The sauna and hot tub are great additions to this hotel. Excited to visit again!

We stayed in Magog (our first visit ever there) for only one night and reserved this hotel because of its looks. We fell in love with the old and historical style. There is no reception if you arrive late, like we did (around 20h30), but despite that, the check-in went smoothly because of the clear instructions. We got room #3, which we thought was a very nice room with a spacious bathroom, but with a cute mini toilet. The room is right in front of a balcony where I guess people can sit in the summertime, but that was empty and closed up now. There was still an a/c in the window attached that leaked the sounds from the street, which was quite noisy at times, especially in the morning. The hotel is old and has this really special patina to it, in a positive way and would be great for a photoshoot! We took a ton of pictures and videos!! When you walk around, you hear the squeaky floorboards under you that make you wonder what this old house has been through since it was built! There is complimentary coffee for the morning, but no direct breakfast, you have to go elsewhere for that.

Very pretty hotel. Spacious and comfortable and perfect location. Only negative is that we hear and feel people walking above as though they are in our own room. Floor vibrates. The place needs some care but I would definitely return.

Great place to stay to enjoy Magog — super close to the lake and the main town, rooms were really comfortable.

Nous étions 6 (3 chambres) et j'étais sceptique de la qualité étant donné le prix des chambres mais quelle surprise, c'était très bien et propre, je recommande.

Moi et ma femme. On a étés reçu comme un roi et une reine. Ça me fait penser où je travaille. Tout est proche. C'est vraiment pas nécessaire d'utiliser son véhicule. On peut aller marcher à l'infini. Si on arrête pas. On m'a dit que ça allait jusqu'au États-Unis. C'est fou, mais c'est vrai. Le déjeuner était incroyable. Je n'ai même pas voulu manger quelque chose durant la nuit. Je ne voulais pas brisé mon expérience. Il y a un grand salon. C'est vraiment accueillant. C'est très vieux comme hôtel. Mais c'est très beau. Tout était parfait. On prétend revenir durant l'été. C'est super pour une petite escapade en amoureux. Si on veut manger. Il y a un paquet de restaurants tout autour. Il y a de tous les types. J'ai été vraiment surpris de la tranquillité de la ville. C'est pas comme ça où je vi. Ça donne envie de déménager.

Amazing host and hostess :-) The hotel is beautiful, charming and full of character. The location is ideal - walking distance to most attractions, restaurants and shops. Extremely clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast is an 'upscale' version of the regular continental...delicious. It's a fabulous and affordable place to stay while visiting Magog. This was our second time at this hotel and we are planning to go again in the near future. Dan & Gen.
